題目
I. Modular Group Action on the real extensions of the rational field.
II. On the dimension theory of graphs.
要旨
I. Modular Group actions on quadratic extensions of the rational field Q are being studied by Q. Mushtaq, A.Majeed, S.M.Husnine, M.Aslam and I. Kausar for the last fifteen years. It involves classification of irrational numbers of quadratic fields and determination of orbits and closed paths under modular group action. In this lecture we present a survey of the results on the subject and begin a similar study of the cubic extensions of the rational field. Some classification of the cubic field is obtained and modular group action is examined.
II. Let G be a connected graph and d(x, y) be the distance between the vertices x y. A subset of vertices W= {w1, w2 ..., wk} is called a resolving set for G if for every distinct vertices x, y in V (G) there is a vertex wi in W such that d(x, wi) is not equal to d(y, wi). A resolving set containing minimum number of vertices is called a metric basis for G and the number of vertices in a metric basis is called its metric dimension. In this lecture we shall discuss the metric dimension of various graphs and present some open problems.

題目
Determination of Finite Groups.
要旨
The general problem of finding all finite groups up to isomorphism is too difficult although the list of finite simple groups is known. In this lecture we shall discuss the partial answers to this problem and in some detail the problem of finding all p-groups.
