Monogenic behaviour of quartic abelian number fields

概要

Let K be an algebraic number field and Z_K be the ring of integers in K. It is called that K is monogenic or K has a power integral basis if the ring Z_K is generated an integer as Z-free module. When K is a full cyclotomic field k_n or its maximal real subfield, K is monogenic. On the contrary, K is a quartic field with prime conductor over the rationals, K is non-monogenic except for k₅ [Mh. Math. 94(1984)125-132]. We endeavour to determine the monogenic behaviour of several prototypes applying previous works [Nagoya Math. J. 168(2002), 85-92, Arch. Math(2004), 309-316].
